Burch Photographics is a joint effort between wife and husband, Wynna and Darcy Cooper. They are a couple who believe in the importance of what they do every day.
Darcy ‘We are very fortunate to be trusted with our clients’ memories,’ says Darcy ‘and it is not a responsibility we take for granted.’ The couple’s efforts are concentrated on creating a positive experience in front of the camera that will illustrate their clients’ most cherished connections and relationships. Wynna shares, ‘I am moved by the connections between people. Whether it’s a newborn clutching her mother’s finger with her tiny hand, the spark of love sizzling within a newly engaged couple, or the comfort, laughter and belonging we feel within a family – all of these remind me of the blessings in my own life.’ Also passionate about their craft Darcy says, ‘Life can be fragile, beautiful portraits can help keep our loved ones close in tough times.’
Both Wynna and Darcy received their formal photographic training at NAIT and have a combined industry experience of over 40 years. They are continuously on the cutting edge by learning the latest and greatest techniques by attending seminars, classes and conventions. This shows in their high quality of work. Wynna has achieved the Master of photographic Arts and Darcy has achieved the Service of photographic Arts designation from the Professional Photographers of Canada. During the last 7 years the couple has also been in high demand to teach other professionals in workshops and seminars. Wynna
